I love spending time at the spa just as much as the next girl, but let’s face it: sometimes it’s just too pricey or time consuming to get to the salon.
Whenever I need a relaxation day that's kind to my wallet, I buckle down for some DIY spa treatments at home. Today's post is the first of a series of DIY spa ideas I've cooked up for you guys.
You can do any of these spa activities at home with your girlfriends, mamas, boyfriends (guys deserve spa relaxation too!), or all by your pretty little self!
First off, I thought I’d share my hair mask, which is a lifesaver for my tresses. Between dying, blow drying, and throwing my hair up in a ponytail, my hair can get damaged sometimes.
I love to give it a strong serving of moisture and shine with this little recipe:
Jilly’s Hair Mask
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 tablespoon of honey
2 teaspoons of plain yogurt (if available)
What To Do
1. Beat all ingredients until smooth
2. Apply on hair and cover with shower cap
3. Leave on for one hour (be prepared to look pretty fancy in your shower cap while you’re letting your hair mask soak in…)
4. Shampoo and style as usual
When you’re all done your hair will feel silky and look amazingly shiny!
Let me know if you try this hair mask out, and share any of your other favorites below!
I do at home spa nights every Friday/Saturday, facial treatments, pedicure, and some sort of hair treatment, its nice to have something to look forward to throughout the week
