Now that the holidays are over I know there may be some of you thinking those skinny jeans are just a little bit snug at the moment. Well, instead of dramatically telling yourself that you’ll NEVER eat again, it’s better to enjoy small, healthy meals throughout the day.
Here are some of my favorite healthy snacks- all of these have been tried, tested and heartily approved- and they’re all pretty portable too so you can bring them to work like I do!
1. Beef Jerky- you may not think of jerky as a healthy snack but if you go for leaner varieties this a great, protein packed nibble.
3. Cantaloupe and Cottage Cheese (or pineapple with cottage cheese)
4. Light Babybel cheese
5. Veggie Juices- I like V8 and Bolthouse!
6. Apple and Peanut Butter/ Tuna Salad- this is a new creation of mine, but yesterday I cut my apple in half and cored out the middle, then filled the hole with tuna salad on one side and peanut butter on the other. It’s an awesome little snack!
I tend to opt for salty over sweet as you might be able to tell…
