    Food Fridays: Summer Sangria

    June 24, 2011 • 8:00 am

Come summertime, sangria is always the ultimate crowd pleaser. I love to whip this up for parties since it's an easy and affordable way to make large quantities.

    Sangria Recipe

    1 Bottle of Madria Sangria
2 cups of frozen peach wedges
1 cup of frozen mixed berries
    1 orange cut into slices
1 lemon or lime cut into slices

Chill for at least 2 hours prior to serving over ice. You can also add ginger ale or tonic if you prefer a fizzy sangria, although I prefer it simple!

And one tip: don’t throw away the left over fruit! Freeze it and add it to your fresh batch next time!

Cheers! What's your favorite summer cocktail?
