If you caught my mini home tour a little bit ago you know I don’t have a ton of excess of space to work with in my home. While I love a cozy, personal space, it’s sometimes hard to entertain when you aren’t working with big rooms and tons of seating.

One of the tricks I’ve learned when entertaining in a cozy pad is to utilize all of your space, including your outdoor patio! I’ve placed some little touches on my patio to make it feel more like an extension of my place- the more homey it feels, the more likely your guests are to hang out outside!

To make your patio more inviting try placing items that are traditionally “indoor items” outside! An inexpensive mirror, charming sign, feminine chandelier, porcelain vases and rustic lanterns took my patio from standard to stylish.

My friends love the comfy patio so much that they always request to hang out there! Colorful and patterned pillows also go a long way, as does lighting- make sure you have some candles out there to light when it gets dark (a plus: it’s romantic!).
