Who falls in love with a hotel?

For the last 2 years, whenever I've found myself in my former “hometown,” Vancouver, I've ALWAYS stayed at the Fairmont Pacific Rim. Traveling so much, you find yourself in and out of countless hotels. I know I have one of the coolest jobs around, but sometimes this makes for a homesick heart.

That is, except for the many times I have found myself back working in Vancouver and staying at the Pacific Rim.

You know a hotel has done a good job when you think to yourself at every check out: “What can I do for these people?”

Well, with the exciting news of my new job (Love it or List it), I have made the decision to get a home in Vancouver, which means no more weekly stays at the best hotel on earth.

I mean … really, it’s just a hotel right? Well not for me, and I thought the Pacific Rim deserved an extra special shout out, for making me feel SO at home for the last two years.

I love it for those stunning, massive, perfectly matchstick marble walls and the beautiful smell that fills your nose the second you walk in. I love it for the warm hugs from Patrick & Steph every time I show up lacking sleep. And that perfect cup of coffee and vita smoothie every morning, and watching The Bachelor Monday nights from the outdoor rooftop hot tub. Those crispy free green apples that come to my rescue after a hard work out, the complimentary chunk of Parmesan that the girls throw into my order at Giovane because they know I love it.

The view. Oh the view. Oh and of course that dream of a bed. All of it, you guys nailed. Whoever's making the big calls at this joint, your team deserves a pat on the back, because somehow, they've wined me, dined me and I've totally fallen in love with your hotel!

    Great work guys!
