I hope you guys are having as much fun with the Halloween posts as I am! Since we all know the holiday is really just an excuse to throw a party I decided to scope out some creepy cocktails for you to stir up.
Presentation is key when it comes to these bad boys but don’t be intimidated, the recipes are easier than they look.
The Black Widow- a gothic martini for the chic Halloween party
Cream de Cassis
fresh lemon juice
For two cocktails (or one cocktail shaker): 2 parts cassis, 3 parts vodka, 1 part triple sec, 1 part lemon juice, 1 part pomegranate
Sinister Cider Cocktail- this sweet cider cocktail fits right in with your Halloween color scheme!
Fine black sanding sugar
1 lady apple, chopped
1/2 lime, cut into wedges
1 ounce maple syrup
1 ounce apple cider
2 ounces vodka
1 thin crosswise slice lady apple, for garnish
Moisten the rim of a martini glass with water. Place sanding sugar in a saucer and dip rim of glass in sanding sugar to coat; set aside.
In a cocktail shaker, muddle together apple cubes and lime wedges. Add syrup, cider, and vodka; fill with ice. Cover and shake until well combined. Strain into prepared martini glass; top with club soda. Garnish with apple slice and serve.
Brew-Ha-Ha Punch- This spooky punch is perfect for the kids (or the adults if you want to add some extra ingredients to the mix).
2 cups sugar
2 quarts water
2 (0.13-ounce) envelopes lime drink mix
1 (46-ounce) can pineapple juice
1 quart ginger ale
Stir together sugar and 2 quarts water until sugar is dissolved. Stir in remaining ingredients. Chill.
Note: For a scary presentation, place punch bowl into a larger bowl, and add dry ice to larger bowl.
What do you guys think of these creepy cocktails? Do you have a signature Halloween drink of your own?
