My Bachelor Recap: Episode 5
There were definitely some surprises on this week’s episode of “The Bachelor.” The episode starts off with Ben sporting a nice little pervey stach in 'rico…. 
And Courtney wearing a shirt that says “Be Nice,” which we all know is pretty ironic.
Speaking of irony, I watched this week’s episode as I was finally deleting some old photos. Finally getting rid of baggage feels good, let me tell you!
Okay, getting to the recap now, Ben’s date with Nicki was sweet and no big surprise that he gave her a rose.
Things got a little more interesting when the girls battled for Ben’s time on the baseball field. 
I didn’t really expect the girls to get gritty and sweaty but they surprised me- Blakely especially! Best quote of the episode: “who knew strippers could play baseball?”
Next up is Ben’s date with Elyse. Did anyone know her name before that date? Woops! She definitely won the jackpot with that date- tropical water dates are the best. Watching actually made me realize it’s time for a sunny vacay…
I wasn’t surprised Ben sent Elyse home- were you? What I WAS surprised about was Ben sending Jennifer home! After calling her “the best kisser of the group” and their date last week I thought she would be sticking around for a while! And I definitely thought Emily would be going home after Ben told her to “be careful” and not talk about Courtney- yikes! She really needs to drop it because he clearly has no interest in hearing it.
Watching Jennifer’s exit was pretty heartbreaking- I hate that feeling. Not to mention, he sent home the best dressed girl of the night!
What did you think of last night’s episode? Who are your favorites? And I’m dying to hear what you thought of the skinny dip! I’m a fan of a good skinny dip but… wow. Also did you notice the Chris Harrison voiceovers now mention that Emily Maynard is the next Bachelorette? I am already obsessed and I know the world will be gushing over her.
Wow, okay it looks like alot of people are feeling the same way. I think Ben screwed up by not giving a rose to Jennifer. She is so sweet and genuine. Courtney, on the other hand makes me sick! As far as Emily goes, I think she's pushing her luck and she's not a fav anyway. I love Kacie B. and really thought Jen would have been a frontrunner. I'm so pissed that Emily M. will be the next Bachelorette. I did like her until she broke it off w/ Brad. Seriously, I thought she hated the attention. I think i would rather see Shawntal on than her. I just do not get Ben. I think maybe Ashley hurt him so badley that he's turned into an ASS! AND one more thing, eventhough I was not a fan of Elyse from day one, I agree that he teased her with the rose. I may have to start watching House again!
Ben is a guy of course he went for it! However, Courtney is shady and she creeps me out when she says "winning" with crazy eyes. If she makes it too the family visit Ben's mom will surely see it.
Regarding Emily M., just my opinion but if your child comes first why would you consider being away from her again when it was such a hardship before! Can you say looking for 15 more minutes?
I like Ben and I think we may be under estimating him. Emily still got a rose. He knows what he knows and he is enjoying the opportunity to do what must men can only dream of!
I'm disappointed that Ben went skinny dipping with Courtenay. It's not the skinny dipping part, I don't have a problem with skinny dipping. It's the getting naked in that moment part. Not appropriate in that moment, and context is everything. In a way it was really a form of cheating on the other girls. They say all is fair in love and war, but seriously, if he can't listen to his own gut instinct - he said it was a bad idea - then I question if he can be faithful in the end. He betrayed himself, even said he felt like crap for doing it. The problem is, you can't turn back time. You need to act with integrity in each moment, because you have to live with yourself, and I don't feel he did that, not in that moment. And honestly Ben, is Courtenay's manipulation, her direct and selfish defiance of the rules truly a characteristic you want in a wife? Really???
I will totally agree with what Jillian stated in her recap blog! I am not anti skinny dipping, however to me Courtney looked like a total skank and loving it! What I am seeing from her actions and reactions is that she is a woman who is totally into herself and very competive and is only interested in winning! By looking and analyzing her throughout the season thus far, I really don't think she is into Ben! There is really no true love connection! I think the "LUST" factor is in place on both sides! A very unfortunate situation for a long term love relationship for sure! Not going to happen on the long term scale!!! Been there done that!!! Believe me my outcome was very short lived! Seriously... This will work for a short while, but will not proceed to the altar fortunately! This guy is really dumb!
I would like to comment Jillian Harris! She is my favorite bachelor contestant ever!! (and should have won) and bachelorette ever! I just love your personaity Jillian!!You are the one woman that I truly admired throughout the bachelor season! I have not even seen any woman who compares to you on the show! You have such amazing style, you are gorgeous, graceful, honest, personable, totally beautiful from within and lets not forget your totally sexy flare!!
