My Chicago Favorites: The Violet Hour for the ambience and the amazing cocktails. The first time I went I actually thought of you because of the amazing decor!
Big Star: amazing food and Bourbon!
Portillo's hot dogs: Chili Cheese Dogs from heaven
The Kate Spade boutique, and really all of the shops in that strip.
The Silversmith Hotel: Beautiful, super comfortable, 2 blocks from Millenium Park. It's like staying in a super expensive hotel but they have great prices!

This post MADE my day! I am moving to chicago in just a couple of months after living in OK my whole life. My hubs got a new job and we are just ESTATIC to move to Chicago!!! :) What area did you live in when you were there? We go in just a few weeks to search for a place! Dont know my faves yet, but will accept any ideas people have! What about off the beaton path decor/or furniture you can buy and re-do stores???
