Well, most of you already know one of my New Year’s resolutions, which was to eat healthier. I think I’ve been doing moderately good job of keeping that one up (and I even have Food Friday posts to prove it: here, here ANNNND here) with the occasional minor setback (no one mention the Bolognese)! But another one of my resolutions is to maintain balance….work hard, but also try to make some time for myself. You know, so that I can keep my sanity, which isn’t always easy! SO, on that note, after so many grey weeks in a row, the weather has recently decided to cooperate, which was just the PERFECT reminder that I need to take some time to relax. Justin and I got to wake up to some glorious sunshine this weekend and decided to sleep in, meet up with some friends and have a leisurely brunch. Basically, just enjoy our time together instead of having to rush off to finish up all of the things we didn’t get to during the week!
Even though it was definitely chilly out, it was so deliciously sunny that we all ended up walking to brunch! I threw together the perfect outfit for our restaurant run and ended up living in it for pretty much the rest of the weekend. Whoops! But I love the combination of a super comfy, worn-in pair of jeans and a slouchy jacket paired with a couple of accessories that add a touch of refinment (read: my fedora and heeled booties). And there’s something to be said for casual and classy outfits that just get the job done, right? I was all smiles! Oh, and extra big love to friends who can do your make up and hair at the drop of a hat (or fedora???)!
