Hi, Team Jilly Box here! We’re looking for a process-driven and detailed Junior Systems Administrator to join our team. This is a newly created, full-time position to join our growing team.

The Jilly Box is a quarterly subscription box that was founded in 2019 by Jillian Harris and Tyler Evans. Together, Jillian and Tyler wanted to establish a way to bring Jillian’s passion for design and creativity to light.

As the Junior Systems Administrator, you will be working closely with James MacIntosh, our Systems Manager (he/him). We are looking for someone who has exceptional organizational skills, a high-level of integrity, and a proven track record of maintenance of a company’s computer systems.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

  • Apply thorough technical knowledge to ensure unified performance and systems operation throughout all Jillian Harris house of brands including but not limited to The Jilly Box, Jillian Harris Design, Eleven Acres Farm, and The Jilly Academy.
  • Provide user support to our teams including OS and application upgrades, compatibility issues, and support with onboarding and offboarding employees.
  • Provide company-wide support with equipment including configuration, repair, and replacement.
  • Cloud Data support including configuration, backups, and security.
  • Responsible for configuring and maintaining the company’s accounts on cloud-based services.
  • Staying current on the covered software’s versions, compatibility, and updates.
  • Help to define and produce technical policies and processes including teaching staff about IT best practices and application uses, and enforcing security/protective IT policies.

The Jilly Box team is excited to build their team in Kelowna, BC. The ideal candidate will be located in Kelowna or willing to relocate.

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING:

  • 3 years of experience as a Junior Systems Administrator or comparable role.
  • Understanding of Cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience with the following: Google Workspace, Monday.com, Slack, Zendesk, WordPress.
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS and advanced spreadsheet capabilities.
  • Knowledge of software systems and configuration.
  • Experience with Mac products.
  • Familiarity with social media networks would be an asset.

As the Content Creator, you will be working closely with our Marketing Director, Mindy Crawford & Interim Marketing Director, Abbi Warden, as well as the rest of our incredible marketing team. We are looking for someone who has exceptional organizational skills, a high level of integrity, and a proven ability to maintain brand image and style through video content creation.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

  • Responsible for the content conceptualization, storyboarding and video content creation for all brands and businesses under the Jillian Harris Design, Inc. umbrella including Jillian Harris Design Inc., The Jilly Box, The Jilly Academy, JHtheBrand, Eleven Acres Farm, and potentially others in the future.
  • Organizing, scheduling, and coordinating with the respective team to execute video shoots for product launches, partnership obligations, campaign launches and organic content.
  • Actively participating in partnership meetings and photoshoot planning meetings to ensure all requirements, obligations and deadlines are top of mind and properly executed.
  • Dropbox organization – ensuring all video content is uploaded, and organized into its respective folders to ensure it is easy to search for and access.
  • Brainstorming and compiling all creative video content ideas and strategies into an organized board within Monday.com for easy reference and sharing with the team during Photoshoot Planning meetings.
  • Ensuring all video content ideas and inspiration shared from the team are compiled and documented in one area for easy reference.
  • Keeping your finger on the pulse for all things trending for social content.
  • Maintaining our brand image and style for consistency across all brands.
  • Always keep inclusivity top of mind by inserting closed captioning, graphics, or other on-screen text into a video.

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING:

  • You are confident in your abilities and do not shy away from sharing ideas, getting the right shot and suggesting alternative shots on shoot day.
  • You have experience in a content creator role with a strong understanding of conceptualization, storyboarding, creating shot lists, video editing, video formats, and using various platforms (including YouTube, Instagram and TikTok).
  • Experience in Adobe Creative, specifically Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • You have a sharp eye for detail, bring a creative and technical ability to the team, and can demonstrate this in a portfolio of work.
  • You are patient and understanding of working under time constraints.
  • You can multitask, solve problems, stay organized, and do things proactively.
  • You have a well-developed artistic and creative aesthetic.
  • You enjoy learning new techniques and staying on top of trends and styles.
  • You have a valid driver’s license and your own vehicle.
