That’s right everyone!!! Not only are we back with another vlog but this is our very FIRST travel vlog!! We’re so excited to take you on this journey with us … I mean, I know we’re not currently in Mexico BUT when we were there we made sure to bring our phones with us everywhere to capture as much footage as we could so we could “bring you along” with us!!
Going forward we’re going to be working REALLY hard to produce more video content for you so let us know in the comments below what you would like to see going forward!! But for now … enjoy our very FIRST TRAVEL VLOG!!!

You’re on the right track! Agreed on focusing on a few longer clips, bit choppy in places. More audio and less b-roll would also be great! May need to think about mic’ing up so you can avoid having to use subtitles for all the audio.
Love that you are doing more video content. Would love to see more details about the actual trip like what restaurant you went to in playa del Carmen, what outfits you wore ( in detail) and maybe how/what you packed for the trip!

I loved it! Would love to see more of the resort you stayed at…pools, beach, restaurants, rooms! When I follow travel instagrammers, I want to know all about what they did, where they stayed, etc. along with clips of them having fun with family or friends

I loved it but you asked for constructive criticism so here it goes.
Why the subtitles? It’s unnecessary and distracting.
I watch a lot of youtubers and the only time you see subtitles is when there is something said that is inaudible. Besides that the content was great and the quality of filming was even better. It really made me want to go to Mexico! Love ya Jillian.
I love Jilly, and I understand you want to share your world with us but my suggestion would be to also share some of the negative aspects of your life or struggles you have. Life is not always about the good times and the perfect life and for those out there who can’t travel or have a beautiful home and beautiful things it can make just a regular,normal, day to day life seem somehow not good enough or somehow we did something wrong along the way this can lead to anxiety, depression and feeling less of yourself. Back in the day when the world was not an open book our regular old day to day life seemed pretty great. Thanks for being open to feedback.

Loved your 1st vlog Team Jilly! My only feedback would be that I felt like I had seen it all already because you shared SO much about the trip on IG. Maybe hold back a bit from posting pictures if you are going to be doing a vlog as well? It might make it a little bit more interesting to see the content for the first time on the vlog? Just a thought! I love your brand though and everything you do is gorgeous!

That being said, I don’t think this gave us enough of a glimpse into what you guys actually did there. It seemed like a bunch of random clips meshed together as opposed to a cohesive documentary of your trip. I think for next time more talking to the camera (or behind) telling us what you’re doing, longer clips so it’s less choppy and try to film everything with the goal in mind for whoever is watching to feel like they were there. I also didn’t find the video quality that great in certain clips (maybe filmed on a phone?) – maybe have a designated vlog camera to keep it consistent?
The candid moments that show all of your personalities were so great – just wish they were longer!
ANYWAY I’m not a profesh, so I’ll leave it at that. Love from Toronto!
I am So happy you all are going to start Vlogging! I agree that more behind-the-scenes footage would be good. Maybe more direct interactions with the camera would be helpful in the viewer really feeling like you are taking us on the journey.
Above all, I would suggest watching vlogs by Negin Mirsalehi if you haven’t already. In my opinion, her content is always something that I want more of!
