As I’m sure most of you already know, supporting local and small businesses is close to my heart. I love shopping from small mom and pop shops that dedicate their heart and soul into something they love and believe in so strongly. There is something so special about buying something you need (and would buy anyway) but in return, giving back to your community. I have partnered with Etsy to be a judge of the Etsy Awards and to find the best of the best Canadian artisans out there so that we can all celebrate their work and creativity.
If you want to do your part, help by casting your OWN votes over on the Etsy Awards Site between May 23rd – June 6th. OR better yet, nominate your friend or an item from your Etsy shop by April 28th, 2016 for a chance to win amazing prizes. Entrants have the chance to win the Community’s Choice Grand Prize of $10,000 or one of five $1,000 cash prizes for category winners.

Jillian, completely off topic but we are redoing our kitchen and I’m looking for something like what you have in this photo. Is it actual marble or a quartz or other material? If so, can you give me a few details? Congrats on the baby. What an exciting time for you.
