1. Make a love jar
Find a mason jar or any jar for that matter that you have around the house and start writing down a list of things you love about the person you are gifting it to. Cut each thing you love about them out, fold it and add it to the jar. Just thinking of them reading each one gives me the warm fuzzies.

2. Create a playlist
Gather a list of your loved ones favourite songs, artists and albums and create a special playlist for them to listen to. You can even get creative and make a playlist for all of the various things that they like listening to music for like cooking, driving, and working out!
3. Bake a loaf of sourdough
If you’ve been following along with my favourite hobbies in 2020 you likely expected baking a loaf of sourdough to make the list. I will forewarn you, do not make this last minute. This gift will not be the quickest to make but it will surely be the most delicious!
4. DIY family game
There’s nothing better than hunkering down during the holidays and playing a game that the whole family can enjoy! The world is your oyster, do some research and create your own!
5. Grow/plant something
Keep in mind this will take some time, but if you are someone who is replanting your plants this would make a perfect gift!
6. Plan a day of (free) fun
Whether that’s hiking, biking, walking, or going sledding there are so many fun free activities to do! Write out an itinerary, plan a day and wrap it up!
7. Write out your favourite recipes
We all have go-to recipes that we can’t live without! Whether you have nice handwriting or prefer printing it out, this can make the perfect holiday gift for anyone on your list. I made this recipe book for my bestie Shannon when we were younger, and she still uses it to this day! 🥰
8. Chore cards
Treat someone on your list to a chore that they don’t like to do, whether that’s a deep clean of the house, laundry, vacuuming or anything else that comes to mind!
9. “Read this when” letters
Write out a series of letters, add them into an envelope and label them when they should be read. This is the perfect gift to give any family members living away from home or college students!
10. Print out your favourite photos
Last but not least, print out your favourite photos of you and the person on your list! If you have some time on your hands dive deep into those Facebook archives and print some of your favourite ones!
Well, there you have it! A list of 10 last-minute holiday gifts that don’t cost anything you can give to anyone on your list.
