Get ready for a productive week! Today I’m sharing my top 7 life changing style hacks to help you simplify your stylish day-to-day routine. Between busy work schedules and all the crazy things that go on at home, sometimes (actually most of the time) there just aren’t enough hours in a day… which is why I wanted to share these style hacks! I’m all about time efficiency and love a good tip/trick to help simplify life. Not everything has to be complicated!!! I know the struggle all too well of buying a gorgeous new pair of heels only to feel like they’re murdering your feet or slipping on a black shirt while running out the door late for a meeting to discover pesky little deodorant marks all over… ugh! But between my personal experiences and some serious googling I’ve put together these hacks to help simplify your life leaving your more time for, well, YOU!
Who would have thought that white wine removes red? Not me! I’ve definitely been guilty of a little red wine spillage over the years. Carpets, dresses, shirts… oops! This little trick will come in handy though for the next time I take a little stumble. To clean up a red wine mess just pour a little white wine onto a cloth, dab onto the spillage (don’t rub!) and voila! The only downside? You’re left with less wine to drink…
Try hanging up your outfit in the bathroom the next time you jump in the shower! The steam will help get rid of any unwanted wrinkles/creases… just make sure you close the door to get the full magical effect. This style hack is definitely a favourite of mine and has saved me on those early mornings when I’ve hit the snooze button a few too many times…
One of my most common and annoying struggles!!! If you’re like me and no matter how hard you try you still end up with white marks all over your clothes you’ll love this style hack. Rub together the fabric on your shirt, dress or whatever the deodorant’s victim is and watch the stains disappear. If the marks are in a spot that’s hard to rub together you can use a separate piece of clothing… it still works!
I love to roll up my sleeves and show off my accessories but sometimes my outfit just doesn’t want to cooperate. For those annoying days when you’re hard at work and your sleeves won’t stay in place try securing them with thin hair elastics! Just push up your sleeve, throw on an elastic and cuff over it to hide the evidence!
Have you ever tried to break in a new pair of shoes only to feel like your feet were going to fall off??? I sure have! The next time you need to break in a pair try this trick… fill two zip lock freezer bags with water but only 3/4 full… you need room for the water to expand or things could get messy. Seal the bags and put them inside your shoes pushing the bags right to the edge of the toe and place them in the freezer overnight. Water expands when it turns into ice which will stretch out your shoes and save your feet the agony of breaking them in the hard way!
I love this trick because let’s face it… I’m not as vertically blessed as most people so when I need a quick hem job this style hack saves the day! Double sided tape will quickly become your best friend. Keep some handy in case you’re ever in a pinch and need a quick hem for a last minute event or to prevent further damage on one that’s unravelling. Genius right!?
I’m really not a fan of cleaning out my closet… I always have the hardest time deciding what to get rid of but this little style hack has really helped me with the process. To keep track of which clothes you can’t live without and the ones you should probably donate, place all your hangers facing the same direction in your closet and every time you wear something turn the hanger the opposite way. Then when it comes time to clean out your closet you’ll be able to see which clothes you are actually wearing and which you’re not!
And there you have it! My top 7 style hacks to help make this your best, most efficient year yet! Do you have any tips/tricks I should try? Share them with me in the comments below.

You are genious. Back in the day, we used duct tape to hem out pants. Fact. If you didn’t get them exactly right, they would look like the old fashioned drapes at the top. bahahaha
wine gets out wine?! brilliant!! though I rarely have white on hand… might be worth it to buy a bottle for the amount of red we spill.
I need to start doing the hanger thing!

Deodorant stains are the worst! I have found that rubbing marks with a pair of leotards or pantyhose works best. But if I have none lying around I will rub the shirt together. Thanks for the great tips! (I’m definitely going to try the shoe one).
@shaunaceybonneville:disqus white wine works like those oxyclean commercials on red wine !! its insane! like magic! hahaha
