A Morning Kickstart

I tend to change my smoothies and shakes up every day depending on whats in the fridge and freezer. I like to stick to the same basics of Almond Milk, Greek Yogurt and Fermented Protein Powder but change up the fruit and veg. You can get as creative as you want depending on your taste buds … this way you are sure to not get sick of your protein shake … in my opinion the best way to a morning kickstart!!!

Ingredients:

1 cup Blueberries (frozen or fresh)
1 cup Greek Yogurt
1/2 cup Almond Milk
1 scoop Fermented Vegan Protein Powder
2 Ice Cubes
Honey to taste

Additional Ingredients:

A pinch of brown sugar (only if you like it sweeter)
A handful of spinach (if you want extra greens)
A tsp of cinnamon (if you like more kick)

Directions:

  1. In a high-speed blender, combine all of the ingredients and blend until smooth
  2. Add a straw and enjoy the burst of energy!!!!

  1. Your smoothie recipe sounds delicious. I just ordered some of the fermented protein powder you recommend online. I’m looking forward to trying it. Another ingredient I would highly recommend adding to your smoothie is chia seeds. I’ve been eating chia seeds for some time without knowing how great they really are. I’m reading a book called CHIA, The Complete Guide to the Ultimate Superfood by Wayne Coates, PhD and am realizing the extreme benefits to this seed!
