I am still dusting the cobwebs off my computer after a much needed holiday this Christmas. Although I was sick (allowing me to rest and unplug) … this was one of my favourite Christmases to date for a few reasons. I managed to host both Justin, Justin’s family AND my family at Casa Harris which consisted of around 30 people on both Christmas Eve and Christmas. Almost everyone slept over, we even made beds in the garage for the guys!! LOL and made sure everyone squeezed in comfortably. It was so nice having Charlie and little Cooper to wake up next to seeing their excitement on Christmas morning which radiated through the house.
But this Christmas was different. We made it less about the presents and more so about giving back.
We all sponsored two large families through the Kelowna Food Bank instead of exchanging gifts. It was such a great feeling to be able to help those less fortunate and help put food on their tables and give them the necessities at this money hungry time of year. Meeting the families and seeing the sincere gratitude and joy in their eyes melted my heart and humbled me.
I wanted this post to be all about thanking the people who made this happen for us … The Kelowna Food Bank for approaching me again. A massive, huge thank you to my family who helped me sponsor the families … and of course, Joe Fresh, Logiix, Glo Minerals, Epicure, Cloverdale Paint and AG Hair for the little ‘extras’ that made our ’Santas Sacks’ that much more special. Without all of your help, this Christmas wouldn’t have been as special for me or the families. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!
How was your Christmas? Let me know in the comments below …

Jill… I love your home, your decor, your style, etc etc., but most of all I love your generosity and how you maintain your down to earth personality. Thank you for keeping in mind what the holidays should be about. I have been keeping up with you since I was like 13!!! And you STILL continue to be a role model to me as I enter my early twenties. Much love <3
