Hello loves!! Guess what?! Remember a while back when I had this awesome idea of hosting a private brunch at my house to raise money for Mama’s for Mama’s?! Welp … IT’S FREAKIN HAPPENING AND WE’RE SO EXCITED!!!!
Tha’s right!! The girls and I have been working like CRAZY to lock down all of the nitty-gritty details to make sure this event is a SUCCESS!! So, to give you a little background on Mama’s for Mama’s (in case you’re not sure what their organization is all about) and some background on WHY we are doing this and WHAT exactly it is we plan on doing … Consider this your “Save the Date” invitation!!!

Who?
Mama’s for Mama’s is an organization that helps low-income mamas and families that fall between the cracks when it comes to government aid and funding. Mamas for Mamas takes gently used items and donates it back to the families and also provides all kinds of support, nutrition advice, counselling, an office for mamas to use/work from, baby staples, career guidance … the list goes on!
What?
If you are one of the 10 lucky brunch participants you will spend the morning sipping wine and feasting on a delicious brunch by Jeremy Luypen, Award Winning/Executive Chef at Predator Ridge Resort … all while being serenaded by Canada’s own Aaron Pritchett in an unplugged acoustic performance!!! You’ll also walk away with a swag bag fit for the stars (valued at over $1000 and includes all of my favourite stuff!!), after a private tour of my home!
We will be auctioning off 8 seats for the private brunch, you can bid on any of the 8 seats here. If you are the highest bidder at the end of the auction, you will be notified by us and your seat at the brunch will be secured. We will also be GIVING AWAY 2 seats!! If you make a donation here (top right-hand corner) you will automatically be entered to win one of two seats at the brunch!!
When?
- The online auction is set to go LIVE on Tuesday, September 26th at 8am and will CLOSE on Friday, September 29th at 8am!
- The Brunch will be held on Saturday, November 4th!
Please note: Flights and accommodations are not covered!
Where?
My house!! Yes … that’s right, I’m inviting 10 lucky ladies to join myself and Team Jilly for the ultimate brunch!! I mean, who doesn’t want to sip on some vino and listen to Aaron Pritchett?!?! UMMM HELLOOOOO!!!
Why?
Well, the incredible team at Mama’s for Mama’s just locked down a space and we wanted to help them refresh their new “home” and make it beautiful and welcoming for everyone who walks through those doors so ALL proceeds will be going directly to this amazing organization and to their renovation so they can continue to help other mamas in need!
That’s if for me now!!! Eeeeppp we are SO FREAKIN EXCITED!! Don’t forget … the auction is open for bidding THIS TUESDAY at 8am sharp!!

I LOVE that you are supporting such an amazing charity! I also started a very small charity similar to this in Chilliwack years ago but had to close it due to funding and a move to Ontario 🙁 . Thanks for the opportunity. I want to donate (all be it small) , on behalf of one of my granddaughters. ‘Katlyn Belanger Der’. She & her hubby had a son last May,here at KGH.. She is a wonderful and loving mother. I raised three children (born in Peace River). I know how challenging and sometimes difficult things can be. Jill, how do you do it all? I know you have a team, however , how do you handle the stress that comes with working and entertaining? How do you keep your house so organized? I struggle with if everything is not perfect then I don’t entertain. I get too overwhelmed, since I am a full time student and have very little time for life. Do you have some tried and true tips to help.? Also, how do you handle the mess when entertaining and not freak out?
