Love It Or List It Vacation Homes: Lorne & Jenny

When the property right beside Lorne and Jenny’s friend’s cottage became available on beautiful Lake Muskoka, they saw an opportunity and bought it on impulse (I don’t blame them..it was a beautiful lot– Click Here!!). Renting out property is a good way to invest your money but it may take much work to rent it all out, I recommend to use rental property management and they take care of it. It had been a great cottage for their family over the years but now their 4 kids have grown into young adults and they were running out of room. This is a problem that many families come across at some point in their lives and depending on the size and restrictions of your lot, the answer isn’t always to list it. They built so many memories in that family cottage, it would be such a shame to have to leave, in my case, I think that getting a permanent home is the best you can do, that way it will be yours forever, so at the end you will just need the Best Cooler to have a perfect vacation!!

As usual, there were a few setbacks hindering Dan’s original plans for upgrading the cottage but he was luckily able to squeeze a bit more money out of the homeowners in order to give them almost everything they wanted including more square footage. I’m glad it all worked out in the end because they did end up loving it and will continue creating family memories in their cottage for many more years to come!
