Hey everyone! I am so excited to finally share our 12 Days of Giving announcement with you today! As you know, we love surprising our community with amazing giveaways and still intend to do just that. However, this year we have decided to use this campaign to address some of the social inequities that impact the communities we serve.
So, this year, we would like to introduce you to our reimagined Santa Jilly’s 12 Days of Giving campaign.
The focus of this year’s campaign is to align with 12 of our favourite brands and work together as a force for change. Over the course of our 12-day campaign, we will amplify and draw awareness to the work of some incredible non-profit organizations in our community.
We have decided to truly embrace this season of giving. Each incredible brand is not only donating amazing prizes for you to win but they are also giving back to a non-profit organization of their choice and surprising them with a whopping $10,000 donation. This means all of our incredible brand partners will be giving away a total of $120,000 to non-profit organizations over the course of the 12 Days of Giving Campaign!
On top of that, we also have a donation entry option (in addition to our usual entry options), this is such a special addition because all money raised through this entry option will be divvied up evenly and donated to each of the amazing 12 causes as a top-up from all of YOU at the end of our 12 Days of Giving Campaign!
Each and every day from December 1st to December 12th we will be announcing our featured brand, share the details of their giveaway, AND announcing which organization we will be supporting!
Here’s what you need to know about 12 Days of Giving!
The 12th annual 12 Days of Giving campaign is launching on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at 10 am PST. Each and every day for 12 days we will be announcing a new prize from one of our amazing brand partners and revealing the non-profit organization they have chosen to donate $10,000 to. The last giveaway will be announced on Sunday, December 12, 2021, which means you will need to get all of your entries in BEFORE Monday, December 13, 2021, at 11:59 pm PST! Then the exciting stuff happens … we will announce and contact ALL winners and share how much you contributed to all of these amazing organizations on Thursday, December 16, 2021!
How to enter 12 Days of Giving
Again this year we will have a dedicated 12 Days page (don’t worry, we will share a link to this page when Day 1 launches!). This dedicated page will refresh every day throughout the 12 days with a new giveaway! To enter, all you will need to do is pop by the site and complete the following prompts. Note: Each prompt you complete will get you one entry!
- Make a donation to the charity highlighted within the dedicated day (worth 10 entries!)
- Submit a mail in entry (worth 19 entries)
- Share the giveaway on your Instagram stories (worth 5 entries)
- Follow @jillian.harris on Instagram (worth 1 entry)
- Follow the brand’s page on Instagram (worth 1 entry)
- Subscribe to our newsletter (worth 1entry)
- Subscribe to the brands newsletter (worth 1 entry)
What brands are participating in 12 Days of Giving?
As many of you know, every year I include my all-time favourite brands in our annual 12 days campaign. This year, not only are these brands spoiling you, but they have also pledged to donate $10,000 to a non-profit organization. Giving back is something that is so near and dear to my heart and I am so honoured to partner up with the following companies for this year’s 12 Days of Giving Campaign! Drum roll, please… in no particular order, they are:

In total, we will be giving away 96 prizes to YOU valued at $74,000 dollars, along with investing $120,000 dollars back into the community (not including the support from you that will be divvied up at the end of the campaign!).
1. Do I need to complete all of the requirements to enter?
No, you don’t need to complete all of the requirements to enter the giveaways. However, the more you complete the MORE entries you get for each day!
2. Can anyone participate in the giveaway?
Residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) and the US, excluding FL and NY can enter!
3. What locations are excluded from the giveaways?
- New York
- Puerto Rico
- All US territories
- Overseas US military installations
- And where prohibited
4. Why did you exclude these locations?
Contesting rules and regulations differ from province to province and from state to state. We discussed with our legal team to try to include as well as a legal team in Quebec but we couldn’t accommodate the process within our timelines or budget.
5. What time of day will the 12 days of Christmas giveaways be posted on your website?
The giveaways will be revealed at 10 am PST every day from December 1st – December 12th!
6. Does my Instagram account need to be made public to be eligible? My account is private.
Yes, in order for us to properly track entries your Instagram account must be public until we randomly select and announce the winners on December 16th at 10 AM PST.
7. Why did you include mail-in entries?
We want to ensure the 12 Days of Giving is accessible for everyone to enter. Which is why the mail option is available. The mail-in option is also worth the total number of entities all digital options are combined so that it is fair for those who may not have access to a phone/computer.
8. How are the mail-in entries included in the giveaway?
Once mail-in options are received our team will enter your contact information and your written submission into Gleam, our Giveaway platform. The mail-in entries will then be added to all digital entries and will be ready for random selection!
9. How will all of the donations raised be dispersed?
All of the donations raised over the course of the 12 Days of Giving Campaign will be evenly dispersed to all of our 12 nonprofit organizations as a top-up in addition to their $10,000 contribution from the brand.
10. Is there a minimum donation amount?
Yes, there is a $5 minimum donation amount and anything above and beyond is welcome!
11. Will I get a charitable tax receipt for my contribution?
No, you will receive a payment confirmation for your donation via email. However, no charitable tax receipts will be issued for income tax purposes.
12. When is the cut-off for entering each of these giveaways?
You will need to get ALL of your entries in before December 13, 2021, at 11:59 pm PST!
13. Do you announce the winners at the end of each day?
No, we will randomly select, contact, and announce ALL of the winners on December 15th, 2021.
14. How will the winners be notified?
We will notify the winners via the email you use to enter the giveaway. Make sure this email is valid and that you check it! You will be given 48 hours to respond. Once we have been in contact with you via email we will call you to verify and ask you a skill-testing question (don’t fret, it’s an easy one!).
15. How do I know how many entries I have?
If you are unsure how many entries you have completed for a specific day please keep an eye out from an email from email@example.com for a summary of all of your entries from that specific day! If you did not receive an email from the email address mentioned above, please make sure to check your spam and junk folders!
If you believe the number of entries you have submitted is incorrect please go back to the 12 Days of Giving page and try to enter again. If you are unable to submit an entry, this means it is already complete. However, if you are able to enter again, you should receive confirmation via email once the entry has been confirmed.
