It’s a well-known fact that designers ALWAYS wear black, but, being the bad-ass I am, you may have noticed that I LOVE to tear that rule apart with tonnes of colours in my wardrobe all the time. This weekend, however, I think I found the perfect balance between the designer & the “Jilly” in me. After all, is there any better way to rock BLACK in the summertime than with a little Spanish boho chic thrown in there? (Livin’ la VIDA LOCA, eh??)
I posted this look on Instagram and got so much love from all of you (THANK YOU xoxo!) and so I wanted to share with you how to put this look together so that we can all put the BRIGHT back in black. This look is super simple and I bet most of you could throw it together with what you’ve already got in your wardrobes – throw on a slinky & simple black number, grab the most colourful clutch you have, put on those aviators, and then start piling on all the chucky gold & colourful bangles you’ve got in your jewelry chest. Top the look off with some simple summer wedges and a statement necklace, and VOILA!
And with that, you’re ready for a night with the ladies, a date with your sexy man crush, a party on your yacht, or just to turn heads at the grocery store… you name it!! Have fuuuun!!!
