Hi everyone! It’s Team Jilly Box here! We’re so excited to be taking over the blog today! Pride month has kicked off and here at The Jilly Box, we love to support small brands and celebrate diversity. So, what better way to commemorate pride than by sharing your love and support towards some incredible 2SLGBTQIA+ businesses, right?!
We asked The Jilly Box community about what 2SLGBTQIA+ brands they loved along with a few that have been living in our hearts for a while. The result is a sweet list of 5 2SLGBTQIA+ owned brands that will be sure to add a little bit more rainbow to your shopping selection. Without further ado, in no specific order, let’s get right into it!
1. Dew of The Gods
Ok, it’s no secret that Dew of The Gods has been a long-time passion at Team Jilly Box and we were absolutely thrilled to include their Filla PWRNAP Retinol Mask and Filla Collagen Under Eye Pads in The Spring 2023 Jilly Box. If you are not familiar with this young brand, we encourage you to check them out! Not only is their line of skincare products amazing, but it is also vegan, made from sustainably sourced ingredients, and believe it or not, blessed by a Buddhist monk! We’re also truly inspired by their commitment to inclusivity by using raw images of people who love their products to model their photos. Way to go, Ryan!

2. Jardines Domaine
How could we possibly create a pride brands list and not include Jardines Domaine? That’s right, we could never! We are SO proud to have this fashion brand as part of The Jilly Box family! For those of you who don’t know, last year Jillian and Anthony Salituro, the talent behind Jardines Domaine, created The Road Trip Dress exclusively for the Summer 2021 Jilly Box and it was a huge success! Since then, we have not stopped watching them closely and falling in love with everything they do! In fact, Anthony recently launched a home decor line, featuring a curated selection of home goods that you sure don’t want to miss next time you are in Kamloops, BC.

3. JVN Hair
We have been JVN Hair fans for a long time and (coincidentally or not) this brand is also one of the most loved by The Jilly Box community! The Complete Nourishing Shine Drops was the perfect addition to The Winter 2022 Jilly Box! Honestly, what is not to love about ‘Queer Eye’ star, Jonathan Van Ness and his line of products made from clean and sustainable ingredients? The cherry on top of the cake: JVN advocates for hair acceptance and inclusiveness, a big part of what we stand for at The Jilly Box. We’re with you, Jonathan: come as you are!

4. This Common Love
We were pleasantly surprised when we first laid eyes on this brand recommended by The Jilly Box community! This Common Love is a queer run small online shop, led by Kristen Mackenzie and Steph Leclair, who also happen to be the winners of The Amazing Race Canada 4! Not only is this brand proudly based in Canada, but they also make cozy and queer-themed apparel for your to show your pride wherever you go. Plus, the brand proudly donates 3% of every sale to LGBTQ+ non-profits. How amazing is that?!

5. Jean-Luc Cosmetics
Here’s a new find recommended to us by The Jilly Box community that made it to our TOP 5! Jean-Luc Cosmetics is a queer-owned business from Toronto that produces vegan and cruelty-free makeup with the goal of creating space for everyone’s beauty to shine. With transgender and queer faces on their website photography, they help build a culture of inclusiveness while growing up their brand from positive word of mouth.
