A Drink Fit for an (Evil) Queen: Introducing the Poison Apple

I absolutely LOVE eating apples this time of year. Countless of my best memories have been made with Justin and the kids picking apples at a nearby orchard, baking Irish Apple Cake together as a Sunday activity (full recipe in my cookbook) or just packing the kids’ lunches with an apple to equip them for whatever their day holds.

And, what better way to enjoy this scrumptious flavour than in a Halloween-inspired cocktail?!

I came across this recipe on Minted.com and thought to myself, “Heck yeah I want an apple-flavoured cocktail!” So, with a few tweaks, I made this recipe my own, perfectly fit for this (evil) queen that is!

What do you say? Let’s try it together!

  • Set your martini glass on the counter and fill it with ice for an extra frigid Poison Apple.
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the apple cider, pomegranate juice and tequila.
  • When ready to serve, add the chips of dried ice—but, make sure they’ve melted before consuming!!
