The key to take an Aperol Spritz from summer to winter is a splash of cranberry juice—a quintessential holiday flavour! The cranberry is such a seamless compliment to the other fruity flavours, you would think this beverage was meant to be enjoyed in the winter!
And, it wouldn’t be a Jilly-approved cocktail without a beautiful garnish to enhance the aesthetic. For this drink, we added an oven-dried orange slice to the rim. Not only is this a lovely decorative add-on, but the orange flavour slightly seeps into your drink, enhancing the vibrant flavour! To bake your orange garnishes, slice your orange into thin slices and line them on a baking sheet. Bake in the oven at 2oo°F for several hours, until they’re fully dry. But, be sure to keep your eyes on them so as not to over-bake them!
