These days, I feel like I am 200% living the “WORK HARD, PLAY HARD” lifestyle. For me, with my zillion interests & crazy mile-a-minute brain, I absolutely love being on the go and working from my iPhone & laptop on set, in my car, on the plane, on the dock, at dinner with Justin (sorry babe!), etc., etc. However, I’ve recently tried to give myself (and everyone else in my life) a little bit of a break – even I don’t have the energy to keep this up forever!!! This meant it was time to create a space in my home that is devoted to work, but feels as comfortable and inspiring as the rest of my life…. with a little bit of Jilly thrown in there of course!!
When I first set out to create my perfect workspace, I knew I wanted something neutral-ish, but with definite pops of colour to keep me awake on those crazy late nights. I’ve always been a huge fan of Moe’s Home Collection for furniture that has a classic look and stylish modern detailing so I thought that was a perfect place to start the hunt – and Justin was so excited that I would finally be working from a DESK that he didn’t even protest coming with me!!
I was actually BLOWN AWAY – not only by their furniture, but all the incredible art & decor as well. I found an AMAZING grey upholstered tufted chair (why make it feel like work??!), a gorgeous simple & clean white desk, a wicked hammered metal floor lamp, and – of course – some colourful throw pillows & accents to boot. I pretty much walked away with everything I needed, which meant more beach time this weekend…. look at me finding balance in my life!!!! 😉
