In My Home: Lighting I Love

There’s no denying that the perfect lighting can totally transform the look and ambiance of your home. Lighting can be so much fun (and equally overwhelming!) to shop for as there are so many different styles, shapes, sizes, and colours to choose from! Lights can quickly add so much character to a room but finding “the one” can be really difficult, trust me, I’ve been in your shoes!

I always get a TON of questions regarding the lamps, sconces, pendants, etc. that I have throughout my home (and where to find them!). So, today I thought it would be fun to highlight the most asked about lights and share the links with you so you have access to all of their details in one spot!

Front Porch

This Pineapple Light from Wayfair is by far one of my favourite finds for the house! I love the fact that it’s so unique, adds a little pop of fun, and immediately welcomes you into our home as it hangs right in front of the doors on our front porch. While I love this light outside, I think it could also look really cute in a nursery depending on the theme of the room!

We also often get asked about the sconces on either side of our front doors and those are from Wayfair! They’re the Nightingale 1-Light Outdoor Sconces! You can see them clearly in the second picture below.

Annie’s Nursery

The beautiful (and perfectly whimsical!) chandelier in Annie’s nursery is the Paladino 6-Light Chandelier (in Persian White!) from Wayfair. The whitewashing makes it so elegant but simple! What I love most about this chandelier (other than the fact that it suits Annie’s room to a T!) is the fact that it’s so versatile. You can hand this chandelier over a dining room table, in a master bedroom, or above a soaker tub in a master ensuite. The options are limitless!

Master Bedroom

This stunning beaded chandelier is probably the light that I get asked about most frequently! It’s the Shay Chandelier from The Cross Decor & Design … and yes, it’s named after Shay from Team Jilly! LOL! It pulls our entire room together beautifully and pairs well with our whitewashed beams!

Also, for those of you who may spot them, the lamps on our nightstands are the Gesso Wood Table Lamps, which are also from The Cross!

Kitchen & Dining Room

The industrial pendant lights in the kitchen and the fixture above our dining room table are both from Visual Comfort & Co! I actually found a more affordable version of the fixture in our dining room from Wayfair!

Entryway

The Darlana Pendant Lantern in our front entryway is from One Kings Lane. As soon as you walk through our front doors it’s there to great you with with beautiful glow and golden hue.

Master Ensuite

This beautiful Hampton Pendant from Wayfair is in our ensuite hanging above our bathtub! This is probably one of my all time favourite light fixtures we have in the house! I love all of the detail in this light fixture and the fact that it makes me feel like I’ve slipped away to a luxury hotel for a minute … until Nacho and Peaches run in and the kids are tugging at my legs! LOL!

Also, you’ll notice in the photos below that between our two mirrors we have the Amherst 2-Light Candle Sconce from Wayfair! These add in the perfect amount of lighting into our bathroom!

Pantry

In our pantry I wanted something clean and simple as I wanted to keep the rustic farmhouse feel to this space. That’s why I decided to go with two of the Schoolhouse Pendants from Wayfair. They’re the perfect size and don’t take away from the gorgeous shiplap!

Spare Bathrooms

This Beaufort 1-Light Armed Sconce from Wayfair is in one of our spare bathrooms in the house. The sconce originally came in a silver finish but once it arrived and I unboxed it I thought it would look beautiful painted black to add a bold pop to our bathroom. So, I ended up taking it to a local car painting company and they painted it black for me!!

This Cooperstown 1-Light Wallchiere is in our guest bathroom downstairs and it’s ALSO from Wayfair (do you spot a trend here?! LOL!). It’s quite opposite in style from the sconce above but I love the feminine touch it gives the space!

Guest Bedroom

I’m in love with our guest bedroom and these Hanging Arm Lamps from Wayfair finish it off perfectly! I had one installed on either side of the bed to replace traditional lamps on the nightstand!

Rumpus Room

Downstairs in our rumpus room I decided to go a little on the nautical side with these Abordale 2-Light Armed Sconces from … you guess it … Wayfair!! They’re situated above both of our shelving units and double as the perfect little pieces of decor!
