Happy Memorial Day to all you lovelies down south … and happy MONDAY to all you Canadians!!! I swear that summer is the BEST time to be pregnant … there’s no need to worry about bundling up with jackets that don’t fit over the bump or trying to squeeze into maternity jeans. All you need to do is throw on a summer dress and you’ll look put together and be oh so comfortable. Most of the time I’ve just been going up a size in NON-maternity clothes … it’s really SO easy I almost feel like I’m cheating the maternity system.
I ordered this adorable navy number online from Nordstrom Rack. I love the peter pan collar and how it instantly dresses up the outfit. I’ve paired it with heels and a clutch but you can easily throw on a pair of flats or sandals and you’ll be set all summer from the beach to the office.

Dear Jillian,
I love your style. I have to warn you that I did exactly the same thing with my first pregnancy—felt chic all the time in only dresses, half the time that weren’t even maternity. But no one told me to plan for the first 2 months of postpartum—suddenly I needed easy access to my boobs (not a chance in all the dresses) and I also couldn’t fit into any bottoms since I hadn’t bought any for pregnancy! I literally had nothing to wear and no time to shop. So stock up on 3 or 4 cozy pairs of pants that are nice and soft, and some loose tees—not necessarily nursing tees, but something that will give you easy access. Loads of luck with your bundle of joy!

I have bought my fair share of maternity pants and PJ pants … I just don’t find them NEARLY as comfy right now!!!! But you’re right … maybe after the babe is born!!!
