It’s been 6 or 7 years now as my time as an influencer and I’ve been exposed to so many different brands which I am SO grateful for. Over the last few years, I started noticing that I wasn’t AS excited about big fancy brands or Louboutin shoes or anything … I mean, at one point I was really into the big brands but it didn’t feel AS good on the inside for me. I would get the most excited when small brands would reach out and send me their beautifully made items!!
Not only could I tell that their products were made with SO MUCH love and attention but their values also aligned with mine. Their products were also such amazing quality and for those reasons alone, it made me REALLY want to support them!! These little local mom and pop shops work so hard and put everything on the line to build something for themselves and I TOTALLY appreciate and respect all of the hustle they put into it!!
Over the last couple of years, I’ve discovered that things last longer when they’re made with LOVE. I’ve also been super lucky to have developed some really great relationships with quite a few small local companies and I’ve also been able to watch some of them really take off and grow which is so amazing to see!!
Now, before I dig in and share some of my fave Canadian baby brands with you, I should mention a couple of things. First off, no, this isn’t a post about politics … I know there’s a lot of stuff in the media lately and I have A LOT of amazing friends and partnerships in the States, I just wanted to share this blog as I thought it would be a great way to highlight some incredible local brands!
Secondly, the list that I’m about to share with you is ONGOING … it continues to grow on a regular basis and there’s probably a ton I haven’t mentioned below but I will try to keep adding to this as time goes on.
For now, here are a handful of my favourite tried, tested and true Canadian baby brands … in no particular order!!
KEWE Clothing
When Leo was little you could almost always find him in something from Kewe Clothing!! Our faves were the milk and cookies leggings!! You can view more of our faves, here!
Bambi & Birdie
Bambie and Birdie carry the comfiest PJ’s for not only little ones but for adults as well!! They’re a hit not only in our household, but Tori’ too!! The boys are wearing the grey and white stripe classic set below and we also rocked the lemon set at our annual girls weekend this July!!
OLE Designs
OLE Designs has the cutest little gear and is dedicated to only using natural fabric in the creation of their apparel. This little penguin sweater is one of our faves!!
Surfing Ninjas
Surfing Ninjas was imagined and designed by a mama watching the adventures and excitement of her two little “ninjas” … LOVE that!! She has everything from rompers, to pants, to dresses, etc!
ROWE Kids
The owner of ROWE Kids is a mama of two from Calgary!! Our favourite item (which Leo JUST got!) is the ZOMPER!! It’s a hooded romper with an ankle to ankle zip, making diaper changes super simple, with no need to strip your little one down! It’s made with super soft bamboo/cotton stretch fleece!!
North Kinder
North Kinder is designed by a mother of two in Edmonton and manufactured in BC!! All of North Kinder’s products are made from bamboo so they’re crazy soft!! Leo wears his little joggers from North Kinder all the time!!
Whistle & Flute
We’ve always been a fan of Whistle & Flute clothing, it’s so adorable and soft plus we love their cute graphics! I also recently got a sneak peek of their new Fall line and I’m so obsessed with it! Already have a few items picked out!! LOL! I can’t wait to share what we have picked out for Leo!!
Beluga Baby
I absolutely LOVED carrying Leo around in the Beluga Baby wrap when he was little. There’s nothing like walking around HANDS-FREE when you have a babe!!
Jax & Lennon
Jax & Lennon make all of their clothing out of bamboo!! As mentioned on their website, Bamboo is an incredibly sustainable resource. It uses no pesticides, requires very little irrigation & regenerates very quickly!!
Maude Kids Decor
Maude Kids Decor is a company based out of Victoria BC who specializes in modern, Scandinavian and really minimal and modern children’s decor!! We LOVE this cute little Bambi chair and yes, that’s faux fur!!
Numpfer
Numpfer has the most amazing swaddles and face cloths!! They are crazy soft and so cute!!
Wooly Doodle
Wooly Doodle makes the SOFTEST clothing (for babes AND adults) around!! She is a mama of one and has an incredible story of how she grew her business, check it out here!

Minna is a one-stop shop where you can find beautiful clothing, accessories, items for the home (baby and mama related) and it all ships from here in Canada!
When We Wear Young
When We Wear Young is an online clothing store that focuses on gender-neutral basics (so they can easily become hand-me-downs) and organic pieces that are both stylish and simple for ages 0-6!!
Nooks Design
Nooks Design is located right here in Kelowna, they handmake childrens wear out of upcycled and vintage materials!! They were even featured on Dragon’s Den!!
Minimoc
Minimoc is run by a husband and wife team! This little biz started out as a hobby, Amanda (the owner) made the very first pair out of leftover scraps from handmade leather wallets that her husband gifted his groomsmen and the rest is history. Leo used to wear them all the time when he was little and I’m sure our little girl will be as well!
Imagine Perry
Imagine Perry makes the CUTEST swimwear for little ones … plus matching scoop back one-piece suits for the mamas!! Leo is wearing the striped boardies, Max is wearing the polka dot boardies and I’m wearing the polka dot ruffle one piece!
Wheat Kids
Danish designed clothing designed and based out of Canada! Wheat Kids has the cutest items and way back when we did the Mamas for Mamas reveal they send SO MANY amazing winter jackets and pants for kids in need!!!
Wee Woolies
Wee Woolies was the first Canadian designer and manufacturer of merino clothing and sleepwear for children. All of their merino wool comes directly from New Zealand. We LOVE their sweet little leggings which Leo wore on our trip to Germany!
Simply Merino
The owner of Simply Merino is a mother of two little ones!! Simply Merino and specializes in 100% Organic New Zealand Merino Wool sleep and play wear for babies and children up to age 12. They design and manufacture all of their products in Vancouver! I particularly love the slouchy Merino wool hat for Leo in the chilly months!!
Young Lux
Leo uses these plates from Young Lux ALL the time!! They are our favourite!!! They’re not only cute but they’re made out of bamboo and dishwasher safe!!
Tiny Button Apparel
Tiny Button Apparel handmakes premium quality, modern and environmentally friendly clothing for infants, kids and adults in Vancouver!!
Brok Boys
Brok Boys is an apparel company for little ones AND adults, in fact, I just recently purchased one of their dresses at the Farmer’s Market the other day and I LOVE it!! They’re also located right here in the Okanagan!!
Plum Kids
Plum Kids is from St. Albert, Alberta and not only is their stuff adorable but they also donate 10% of every TINY HUMAN fleece sweater to Mamas for Mamas here in Kelowna, BC!!!!!
Sem Label
Created by a small town girl from Northern Alberta (atta girl!!), Kelsey focuses on ethically and sustainably made garments in hopes of making a positive impact on the fashion industry … and our environment!! LOVE THAT!!
L&P Apparel
This is such a fun company as all of their designs are created around a skateboard inspired-lifestyle! Leo’s little infinity scarf has mini skateboards on it and goes perfectly with his outfit … Nacho approves. LOL!
The Printed Bow
The Printed Bow has the CUTEST bow ties!! Leo has quite the collection going already! They are the perfect accessory to dress up his outfits for special occasions!!
Loulou Lollipop
Loulou Lollipop was founded by twin sisters! How cool is that?! They design and create really fun teething jewelry and toys for babies!! When Leo was little he had the blue mint donut teether and the cookie teether and he loved them both!!
Anchors & Arrows
Anchors & Arrows is from Kelowna, BC! The owner, Caroline, makes ALL of the items from the first cut to shipping it to you! Leo loved her slouchy toques for Leo when he was little!
Modern Baby
Modern Baby is owned by a mother-daughter duo from Victoria BC!! They hand make each item and their leggings are one of our favourite items!!
Locomotive Clothing
This is a family run business located here in BC!! They have the cutest (and comfiest) graphic tees for little ones plus they also have clothing for adults too!!
Otherware
Otherware makes awesome teethers made out of wood and natural materials! All of their products are Canadian sourced so they know exactly what goes into them … and … all of their packaging is 100% recyclable and contains NO Plastic!!!
Peekaboo Beans
Peekaboo Beans was started in Richmond BC and now (after a few changes in the business) has become a way for parents to more involved in the business as stylists! Pretty COOL!!! You can find out more here!!

Just a thought though.. my baby girl was a preemie (2 months early) and I could hardly find anything to fit her, she had to wear hospital onesies donated from the foundation for the majority of her stay because I had such a hard time finding stuff 🙁
