I am back from Paris with a full belly of escargot, beautiful photos of Justin and I from our Flytographer photoshoot and the most magical memories I will cherish for a lifetime!! It was SO FUN sharing our Paris trip (and my Paris outfits!) with all of you on Instagram. I always love recapping our trips on the blog and giving my recommendations, as travel is a BIG passion of mine. But, before I give you an in-depth recap (don’t worry, the recap is coming to the blog soon), I wanted to first answer ALL of your questions about my Paris outfits.
Now, I am a pretty notorious over-packer, which isn’t exactly the most IDEAL quality when you love to travel, LOL! But, I do find it helpful to look back on my trip and think about what clothing, shoes and accessories were ACTUALLY worth bringing and which I forgot to pack and wish I’d brought. So why not share what I learned, right?! Here is a recap of my favourite Paris outfits and what other items I would pack next time:
My Favourite Paris Outfits
Travel Day
I’m SO glad I brought these loafers because they were perfect shoes to dress up many of my Paris outfits when I didn’t want to wear heels… because, let’s be honest, cobblestone streets and heels are not a good match!! This Anine Bing sweater is from a local shop in Kelowna called Fossello’s and is now sold out, but you can pre-order it from Fossello’s here and get 10% off with code JH10 or purchase it now here! The sweatshirt was perfect on the cooler mornings during our trip. I also wore this outfit to the airport, which was a great choice. Super comfy!
Shopping
My saving grace in Paris was these Puma sneakers. And, they really went with almost all of my Paris outfits! I also wore mostly cross-body purses like this one from Ela Handbags to be mindful of pick-pocketing. (Use code JILLIAN20 for 20% off your purse!) The shorts are from Aritzia, and the knit long-sleeve is from Fossello’s! (Use code JH10 for 10% off at Fossello’s! I also have to shout out the Melanie Auld jewellery I wore with this outfit. Loved wearing my Mama charm!
Garden Visit
This Paris outfit was perfect for a cooler day. Both the striped top and jeans are from Zara. And, I brought this YSL (designer) purse that has a bit of an interesting story. As you all know, I don’t really own designer purses. (This is my one exception.) But 10 years ago, I won a contest, and the prize was a gift certificate to Barney’s. The only thing I could afford then was this little clutch. Designer purses are pricey, so if you’re looking for a similar black wallet chain purse, this one is so cute and similar!
Evening Stroll
One of the most special moments of the trip was walking by the Eiffel Tower at night as it lit up. For our evening stroll, I wore this adorable floral top from Reformation, and these jeans I bought JUST before this trip from Fossello’s! (Use code JH10 for 10% off your purchase at Fossello’s.)
Sightseeing
One of my favourite Paris outfits has to be the Coastal Collared Dress from my recent Smash + Tess Collection! I was so comfortable (like wearing pjs), but I still felt dressed up!
Night at the Art Gallery
I had such an amazing time dressing up and visiting The Flytographer Art Gallery while in Paris! It was amazing to see a collection of 10 years worth of incredible photography from all around the globe. For the event, I wore this polka dot dress, which is sadly no longer available, but here is a similar dress!
Photoshoot
Flytographer spoiled us this trip with a photoshoot with their photographer Leo. I wanted to pick something neutral and timeless that I would be happy looking back on. This dress fit the bill, and these Puma sneakers looked so cute with it.
Boat Ride
There’s nothing more romantic than a boat ride under the Eiffel Tower with your love!! Justin and I were SO lucky to join Team Flytographer for their boat party to celebrate 10 years! For the occasion, I went with this red dress from Reformation and this blazer. It was perfect!!
Items I Wish I’d Packed
Pink Converse
I loved wearing my Puma sneakers around because they were so comfortable… but honestly, I should’ve packed more cute sneakers for this trip! We did SO much walking and I really wish I’d packed these Pink Converse. Note for next trip: pack lots of lace-up shoes!!
Stanley Tumbler
I missed my Stanley SO BAD!!! I was so dehydrated this trip and would have benefited from bringing this with me. One morning I was so thirsty I got up and chugged a Diet Coke and went back to sleep… I don’t even like pop that much so that goes to show…
Trench Coat
We lucked out with the weather in Paris: not too hot and not too cold either. But, a trench coat would’ve been the PERFECT layering piece for this trip. I thought about buying one while we were there but we didn’t have a ton of time to shop this trip. Next time!
And there you have it! All of the outfits I’m SO glad I packed for this trip to Paris, and a few items I wish I’d thrown in my suitcase! Remember to follow me on Like to Know It to stay up-to-date in real-time on what’s in my cart and what items I’m loving!

Jilly
