The Perfect Gingham Dress

Is it just me or are the days feeling crisper?? Dare I say … Fall seems to be slowly approaching! As much as I love Fall, I’m still holding on for dear life to Summer while I can! But while I know I can’t control the weather … and for the hard truth that Autumn will be here before we know it, I started pursuing Nordstrom in search of dresses that can help me transition my wardrobe from summer to fall and I found the perfect gingham dress to do so!

Psssstttt … it’s available in blue AND black gingham … and also solid red and black!

We all know that gingham print has been a summer staple this year and this trend isn’t going anywhere anytime soon! This gingham dress is summer approved but you can also layer it with a hat, jacket, and boots for the fall. Also … if you’re like me and you like sneaking away to somewhere warm in the colder months (countdown to Hawaii is officially ON!) then now is the perfect time to start shopping for those cute dresses for your planned tropical escapes … this one is already on my packing list! LOL!

Ok, back to the layering!! It’s almost time for us to trade in our summer straw hats for something a little warmer so below I’ve picked out some great alternatives to dress up your little gingham dress!

While we can still pull them off now we will soon have to kick off our sandals and dress our feet up in cute ankle and knee high boots, something like these! I’m trying my BEST to avoid purchasing leather boots so I’m always on the lookout for cute vegan leather and suede options when I can.

And last but not least, you’ll need to complete your layered look with a jacket! I love faux leather jackets and denim jackets for laying in the Fall!!
