Perogies are one of my FAVOURITE dishes over the holidays! While these babies are a little time consuming to make, trust me when I say they are nothing short of comfort food perfection! You can find our Vegan Perogie recipe in our Fraiche Food Full Hearts cookbook! For those of you who own our cookbook, I want to point out that there is a small typo in the recipe. Please flip to page 243 and adjust the water to 1 1/2 cups for the dough!
For those of you who don’t yet have a copy of our cookbook (fingers crossed there will be one for you under the Christmas tree!), you’re in luck as I’m sharing this recipe with all of YOU today! If you would like to purchase a copy of the Fraiche Food Full Hearts cookbook for the foodie in your life, you can do so, here!

Thanks Jillian,
I changed Sheri’s & mine as I have still have not sent Sheri’s to her. She is being patient with her momma, lol. Shannon has hers already & I will let her know. She probably follows your blog as well., & knows already.

Whoo whoo, it’s TGIF!!!

😘😘😘
Has anyone tried substituting gluten free 1:1 flour (such as Pamela’s or Bob’s Red Mill)?
Is the timing on the onions correct?? 20 mins seems like a lot…
Hi Laura! Yes, that is correct. As it takes that long for the onions to become carmelized for the recipe! Thanks! XO
Wow, I haven’t realised that the polish word ‘pierogi” is used by English speakers… with petatoes and cottage cheese (not veagan anymore) served with greaves… delishous ‘russian pierogi’. Need to try vegan version!
Thanks for sharing Jilly! I will do the vegan version for the Christmas. I’m pretty sure it will be great 😁
Those look so delicious! Pinned the recipe for later.
Love your cookbook I received from my daughter. I have done a few recipes already. Pancakes were delicious and tho bolognese sauce was a hit!,
However, the cookbook has an error for the perogies- it says 1/2 up water and the website confirms 1&1/2 cups water.
Thank you
