When it comes to the warmer months here in the Okanagan I’m a SUCKER for dresses! Whether I’m going out for dinner, or just lounging at home chances are you will more than likely find me wearing a dress! If you have visited or live in the Okanagan, you’ll know just how hot it gets here!! There’s nothing worse than wearing something in the summer that feels restricting or isn’t very breathable and makes you SWEAT!
I have THREE go-to dresses that I always end up reaching for when those summer months roll around and these three dresses cover pretty much any event or day to day activity that may pop up!

Dress 1: T-Shirt Dresses
This is the dress I actually gave birth in which tells a lot about just how comfortable and versatile it is! It’s a relaxed t-shirt dress (with pockets!!!) from Aritzia! This dress is perfect for lounging at home or running errands … and as you can tell, it also doubles as the perfect maternity dress! You can easily pair it with sandals or a pair of slip ons and you’re good to tackle all of those to-dos!! This dress also comes in a few colours and I know they sell out here and there but it always seems to get restocked!

Dress 2: Peplum Dresses
Some of you may recognize this peplum dress as almost every member of Team Jilly has one … or two … or three! LOL! It’s the Lauren dress from Emma Knudsen!! Peplum dresses are perfectly oversized and insanely flattering! You can easily transform peplum dresses from day to night by swapping out your sandals for some cute wedges or heels!
Dress 3: Long-Sleeved Dresses
This dress is a little bit on the fancy side which makes it great for date nights or special events! It’s also from Aritzia and it comes in three colours! The best part about this dress is not only how cute it is and how well it fits BUT the pricepoint is unreal! It’s only $78 which I think is a steal for this little number! PLUS, dresses with long sleeves are perfect for date nights and those brisk spring evenings!

Dresses are super cute! Was wondering if you could perhaps show a more ‘average’ sized model in any of these pictures in the future. Just a mix of all shapes and sizes is all.
