A few weekends ago we made our way over to Mackenzie’s mom and dad’s home for baby Hugh’s Sip & See and it was BEYOND adorable! For those of you who may not know, Hugh is Mackenzie and Luke’s sweet little baby boy who was born on March 12th of this year! Mackenzie is of course on maternity leave for a year and we couldn’t be happier for her and Luke and their brand new little family!
Mackenzie’s family did such a beautiful job organizing all of the little details of little Hugh’s “Guess How Much I Love You” themed Sip & See (based on the book by Sam McBratney!). From the delicious orange and grapefruit mimosas (made with our favourite bubbly, La Marca Prosecco!) addicting finger sandwiches and drool-worthy carrot cake and Nanaimo bars, everything was stunning and equally as delicious!
In fact, we are STILL swooning over the incredible (hand-painted!!!) cookies by Sprinkle + Whisk … can you believe how amazing these are?!?! They were certainly the hit of the party (well, besides baby Hughie that is!).
While we were totally blown away at the cuteness overload of the shower, we absolutely LOVED the fact that they had asked for no gifts and in return, to bring along a book for Hugh’s little library! I mean … c’mon … how thoughtful is that?! They even had stickers and pens waiting at the book drop off basket where you could leave Hugh a note along with your name so they knew where the book came from!
The beautiful pops of white, cream, pink, and blue flowers were all thanks to the lovely team at Bylands Garden Center! We picked up the florals the morning of the Spip & See and divided them up into a couple of nice big bouquet’s along with multiple bud vases and scattered them around the home.
All in all it was SUCH a relaxing and fun day, we got our Hugh snuggles in, sipped on those delish mimosa’s and snacked on the delicious food!! Now we just count down the days until Mackenzie is back with Team Jilly! LOL!!

Where is Mackenzie’s dress from? Could you share a link?
It’s from Man + Woman here in Kelowna mall! xo
It seems that you made a lot of noise as the poor fellow tucked his fingers in his ears… 🙂
