Beat the Winter Skin Blues

I love everything about winter MINUS the winter skin blues … who’s with me?! Most of you know that I was just away on a family vacation in Mexico for my cousin’s wedding. I was so stoked to get away and get some quality time in with my family, but I was also excited to be in warm weather again … taking it all in and soaking up the sun. One of the many reasons I love escaping to hot HUMID places in the winter is the way the tropical air makes my skin feel! You know what I’m talking about, right?! Seriously … there’s nothing better (in my opinion) than how humid air makes my skin feel so soft and dewy. When the vacation comes to an end and I come back to the cold, dry, winter air, my skin immediately feels like it’s about to crack everywhere and my fresh glow goes completely MIA.

But guess what?! Avalon Organics® came to my rescue in the NICK OF TIME!! As a part of my Avalon Organics® series, the brand suggested I try out the Refreshing Lemon Hand & Body Lotion. I wasn’t about to say no if it would help me with my dry winter skin!

I like to lotion up at least once a day, but my favourite time to do so is straight out of the shower. For those of you who know me, you know how much I love the spa and take any chance I get to create a DIY spa moment.

I tested out Avalon Organics® Refreshing Lemon lotion after a looooong steamy shower, (and after a day of travelling) and it felt so damn good! Like all of their products I have tried, I felt as though the cream absorbed into my skin instantly … maybe it was because my skin was drier than I thought it was … yikes! In all honesty though, it left my skin feeling silky smooth and HYDRATED. The nice energizing citrusy scent isn’t overpowering and is just enough to make you feel ALIVE again … mentally and to the touch! I think this lotion would be the perfect way to kick start your busy weekday morning … that, and a cup of joe, of course!!

One of the main reasons why I love testing out Avalon Organics® products is the fact that everything is such a great price point for what you get! Not only are all of the products organic certified, vegan and cruelty-free (which is a HUGE win), but they’re also free from parabens, nor do they include any synthetic fragrances or colours. What you see is what you get … and I can get on board with that.
