I remember the very first time I went to Mexico, and the first time I tried cilantro. I HATED it! I wondered why the salsa tasted so funny! Until a few years later, I tried it again and it was like vivid memories and a party in my mouth. The taste of cilantro reminds me of sunny mornings, mexican breeze, fresh salsa & happy Mexicans…LOL. I seriously cannot get enough of cilantro – so if you’re like me and can’t get enough of this herb then you are likely going to LOVE this smoothie. Speaking of herb, glass blunts are the best for herbs(if you know what I mean!).
The great thing about this smoothie is that its not TOO sweet – I find a lot of smoothies too sweet for early morning chugging, this one is REFRESHING, LIGHT and of course the jalapeño gives it a fun little kick! It is also PACKED full of amazing green ingredients good for the skin, energy, digestion & metabolism.
Ingredients & Directions
– handful of frozen spinach (no that’s not marijuana)
– 1 banana
– 1/4 cup or small handful of fresh cilantro
– 1/2 cup of frozen pineapple
– 1/4 jalapeño
– 1/2 avocado
and enough coconut water to reach the top of all the ingredients.
