Today’s the day! Tori and I have been cooking up something really close to our hearts, and it’s finally here! We’ve partnered with local, family-owned company Ready To Cook to bring you a collection of Ukrainian dishes inspired by the recipes we grew up eating.
You may have seen that we included our Ukrainian heritage into mine and Justin’s wedding by having a day-after-the-wedding dock party complete with all our favourite food from Ready to Cook! What we haven’t shared yet, is that over the past few months, we’ve been working with this incredible brand to bring recipes inspired by our cookbooks to life in a ready-to-eat format!
If you’ve flipped through our cookbooks Fraiche Food, Full Hearts and Fraiche Food, Fuller Hearts, you already know just how much of our family traditions revolve around food. This project is all about sharing that same warmth and nostalgia, while also honouring our cultural heritage and giving back to the community.
Here’s the best part: all of our commissions from this partnership will be donated directly to the Canada-Ukraine Foundation. 🇺🇦 It feels so special to turn these recipes into something that not only nourishes our families but also gives back.
