1. Decorate With Texture | Decorating with texture is an easy way to make a home feel lived in and well-traveled. In my opinion, it is next to impossible to make a mistake with mixing and matching textures as long as you keep your items neutral.

2. Keep It WHITE | I like to keep the walls and larger items in my home white, and then incorporate colour with decor or fabrics. In my opinion, white will always be timeless, and makes it easy (and cost-effective) to change my home’s look seasonally. I simply swap out the smaller items.

3. Seasonal Vignettes | Holiday decorating is one of my favorite things to do. I always start with bigger items (like the tree) and then add in seasonal vignettes—sometimes under a cloche or on top of a vintage suitcase to tie in the rest of the room’s decor.

  1. Absolutely stunning @jillianharris

Do you have any advice on how to achieve this look with a 17 month little handsome heart breaker who is into everything?!

  2. The walls aren’t white. They are either an off white or a light grey – with a bluish undertone depending on the light. I wish she would just tell us her paint colours. What’s the point of having a lifestyle blog but keeping something as important as paint colours a secret?
