Another great evening of Monday night TV!! If you caught last night’s episode of Love It or List It Vacation Homes, can we please take a second to talk about how beautiful Prince Edward County is!?!?! (If you missed it…yesterday’s episode took place in Prince Edward County which is on Lake Ontario about 2 hours east of Toronto.) It actually reminds me of a mini Kelowna with the lakefront cottages, sandy beaches, and vineyards. What a great spot to have a little family cottage!!
And that is exactly what Karen and Mark had … a little family cottage. 720 sqft to be exact! With their kids now grown up, their cottage was getting pretty tight and an addition was a must have to stay. The cost of an addition can get quite expensive and unfortunately their budget just couldn’t budge any further, so the addition was immediately cut from the list.
After seeing the massive lakefront homes Elisa was showing them, I thought there was no way they would stay in their tiny little cottage. But Mark’s Father had built this cottage with his own hands, so it was crucial that Dan kept some original details like the stone fireplace, as well as the original exposed beams. Once again, it was the sentiment that this 50-year-old cottage held that kept Mark and Karen there in the end.
It’s a pretty cute little spot … check out the reveal pics below!
I can’t wait to see where they take us next week! Love It or List It Vacation Homes premieres every Monday night at 10pm E/P on W Network so don’t miss out!!!

We have 1500 sq foot 4 bedroom 1 bathroom cottage with a 1000 sq foot deck. It is on an island on Balsam Lake. (Kawartha Lakes)
I love the lake but our cottage needs renovations but my hubby doesn’t get things done too quickly. I would love to have something on main land however the cottage we have owned for 30 years has many family memories.
Wondering what the criteria is to be a guest on your show?
