Welcome to Justin & Jillian Properties: Kelowna Condo Reveal

I know people aren’t travelling much these days and if you are we recommend you travel safely, if you are unsure how to do so please read this post from BC Center for Disease and Control here. So many have been asking for a condo update and I am so excited to share this announcement with all of YOU today!!

Justin & Jillian Properties Airbnb Condo

If you are following me on Instagram, you know that Justin and I recently purchased a condo in the heart of Kelowna (where we live, wahooo!!!) to list on Airbnb. We love to travel and have been so fortunate to visit some incredible destinations, but there is truly nothing like the Okanagan (we may be biased!!). With a beautiful waterfront, sandy beaches, tons (and I mean tons! LOL!) of vineyards, and a quick drive to the mountains. It’s the perfect spot for a weekend getaway or even a longer stay!

We’ve always talked about owning a rental property together and dreamed of how great it would be to connect with our community on a deeper level. Justin’s dad owns a company called Innocept Developments and when they released a set of residential condos for sale we knew it was the perfect spot for our dream Airbnb. Justin and I discussed this opportunity at length, and it eventually came down to wanting to have a space to not only connect with our community but to host YOU in one of our favourite places in the world.

I absolutely LOVE the way this condo turned out!! When Justin and I were talking about the design he really let me take the reins on this project. Funny enough, he actually told me to add more PINK and was surprised when he found out that the curtains were navy blue … LOL!

Jillian and Justin Airbnb Condo Styling

This project, like many other design projects I have taken on (Team Jilly Headquarters and the Mamas for Mamas office renovation), would not have been a success without the help of Kara from Blue Alice Space and Design. I provided her with all of my thoughts, wishes, and inspo (hellooooo Pinterest!!) and Kara took it from there! I really wanted this condo to look like a New York loft meets European twist and I think we nailed it. I hope you love it just as much as we do!!

COVID Precautions

While we are listing our condo on Airbnb during COVID we want you to know that we have taken extra precautions to ensure that the space is clean and completely disinfected. Here are some of the guidelines we have set in place to ensure that the condo is clean upon your arrival!

1. Our cleaning crew wears masks and gloves the entire time they are in the condo.

2. Coffee, tea, and sugar are stocked in individual packets.

3. The shampoo and conditioner are in refillable containers and disinfected between each stay.

4. All linens and towels are washed on the hottest temperature cycle.

5. The condo is cleaned top to bottom with a diluted bleach solution.

6. If any of our cleaners feel unwell they are not to enter the space and we encourage guests to do the same.

How to Style an Airbnb Condo

Welcome to Jillian & Justin Properties

Our little (and I mean little!) condo is located in the heart of Kelowna and steps away from some of our favourite places. The entire condo is roughly 450 sqft, equipped with one bedroom with a Haven Sleep Co. king size bed and a pullout couch both dressed with the softest White Terry Home Sheets. We are so proud of this cozy little pad and we hope to see you all in Kelowna very soon!

Now, who is ready to take a tour of our rental pad?? I’m so excited to walk you through each room!

Paint Colours

First things first, let’s quickly talk about the paint colours we selected for this pad. In the main entrance area, instead of choosing a paint colour we went with floral wallpaper from Anthropologie.

In the bathroom, we selected Benjamin Moore Spring Pink 2090-70 on the upper half and added wall panelling on the bottom half and painted it with Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace OC-65Throughout the rest of the condo, we painted all of the walls Benjamin Moore Classic Grey OC-23.

Entrance

Wallpaper | Hooks | Hat | Shelf

When it came to the front entrance we really wanted to make an impression! I love this floral wallpaper from Anthropologie, while I couldn’t necessarily use it in my own home I knew it would make the perfect addition to this space.

Bathroom

Shelves | Picture | Wreath | Mirror (similar)| Vanity Light

As I mentioned earlier, Justin was wanting more pink (I know, I’m just as shocked as you are!) so I made sure to add an extra pop of it in the bathroom by painting the upper walls with Benjamin Moore Spring Pink 2090-70. I think it offers a unique and fun contrast to the wall panelling in Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace OC-65.

Kitchen

Throughout the rest of the space, we decided to keep the walls neutral. We went with Benjamin Moore Classic Grey OC-23 in the living room and master bedroom. Instead of adding pops of colour to the walls I really wanted to make a statement with some of my favourite wall decor pieces like these gorgeous White Juju Hats and a statement gallery wall in the bedroom.

Living Room

Rug | Coffee Table | Couch | White Juju Hat | Light

Since there really isn’t a lot of space for much else in this condo instead of adding a table and chairs, we found this amazing convertible coffee table from Wayfair. I love how easy it is to pull out and it’s a super cozy spot to eat and hangout!

Patio

Patio Set (similar)

I think this has to be one of my favourite spots in the entire condo! From the patio, you have an incredible view of the mountains and the Okanagan Lake! It the perfect spot to chat and have a glass of wine or two!

Master Bedroom

Bed Frame | Nightstand | Mattress | Sheets | Light

Be Good | Abstract | Peaches | Flamingo (similar)| Graphic Art Print (similar)| Love Love Love | Chrysler Building

Last, but not least is the master bedroom! We made sure to go all out with a luxury king size bed from Haven Sleep Co. and added the softest sheet set from White Terry Home, guaranteed to be your coziest sleep yet!

Well, there you have it, a complete tour and reveal of our brand new rental condo in downtown Kelowna! If you want to take a look at the listing or even book a stay you can check it out here! We can’t wait to host your next stay in the Okanagan!!

Jilly & Justin

Thank you to Haven Sleep Co, White Terry Home, and Emtek for the gifted items. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

  2. Yay, decor content! I started following you for your decor and I love your style.

BTW (I follow lot of interior designers), the term “Master” bedroom/bathroom is being replaced now with “Principal” bedroom/bathroom.

  3. Beautiful!
    Would
You be kind enough to tell me what appliances you chose?
    What toilets and sinks?

    Thanks so much
    Jo

    1. It’s actually the Samsung Frame Tv that has a feature to turn into a picture frame when you are not using it! xo

    1. Yes, Amanda is helping us host our condo and helping our guests with any questions that they may have! xo

  6. This looks absolutely gorgeous with all your favourite touches. My two sisters and I are coming to Kelowna on the 13th of September for three nights for a birthday. We are all seniors so no wild parties! If I go to the Air BbV site how would I find your condo if it’s even available. Thanks!

  10. Hi Jill! Was curious if your remembered the fabric colour you choose for your sofa through VG !? Appreciate the reply and thank you!

  11. I like the house but the living room has too much white for me, It would be dirty in no time, I want fabrics that disguise the dirt a bit.
