The Magic of Playtime: 5 Timeless Gift Ideas for Your Toddler

Morning loves!! With Christmas right around the corner, I’m sure many of you are in search of timeless yet entertaining gifts for your little ones, so I’m here today to offer up a little help and a few suggestions! I’ve mentioned before that personalized gifts are my all-time favourite gifts to give because they have a sentimental value behind them that’s irreplaceable. I was introduced to a company called My 1st Years back in July and I was impressed by the quality and variety of their products but mainly for the fact that they personalize EVERY one of them … and you can order everything online and skip the craziness at the stores … especially during this time of year!

I love the fact that a personalized gift, whether it’s a musical instrument or a ride on car, can bring a little magic to playtime. There’s just something so special about having something with your name on it … don’t you agree?? Below I’ve listed some of my favourite items that Leo already has from My 1st Years that he loves and uses regularly and a few other ideas that I think any little one would love to open up on Christmas morning! Ps. You can still get your gifts in time for Christmas with half-price Express Shipping until 19th Dec!!

Pro Tip: For the parents out there who get to build these toys … don’t mess around, dig out that power drill … it’ll save you LOTS of time! LOL!!

1. Piano

Leo LOVES music so naturally, he gravitates to any instrument, he already has the xylophone from My 1st Years which he couldn’t get enough of and for Christmas this year, I ordered him this adorable piano and Tori also got one for Max!!

2. Fire Truck

I just thought this was the sweetest little truck, especially if Mommy or Daddy work at the Fire Department!!

3. Race Car

I’m sure many of you have seen Leo ripping around on his silver race car from My 1st Years on my Insta stories! It’s a great height for him and also matches my decor so I don’t mind leaving it out!! LOL!!

4. Kitchen

It’s so funny that mini kitchens are such great entertainment for toddlers!! Leo had so much fun with this little setup, he got a kick out of opening and closing the oven and microwave doors and turning the knobs (which also click each time you turn them!) … this little kitchen also comes with three adorable wood utensils! Oh, and there is also a chalkboard on the front of the kitchen which you can write your own message on!! So cute!

5. Table & Chairs

Leo loves his little table and chairs (one chair has his name on the back and the other has his fur brother Nacho’s name!), he likes to sit there every day and he’s just started colouring so this has been his designated art spot lately!! It’s a cute and functional gift and is something that can be handed down from generation to generation!

  1. We got a kitchen for our daughter on her 2nd birthday and both my son (he just turned 4) and her love playing with it. Blocks, a big tent, paw patrol and peppa pig toys, a car mat with little hot wheels, magnetic board with the alphabet and numbers on it, play dough, crayons and coloring books are some of the items we have for our kids to build, explore, use imagination, and most importantly have fun with! Thanks for the chance to win a fabulous giveaway. Happy holidays (one more week for me) insta fan@plumerea

  2. Thanks for sharing these Jillian! I have a little boy just a few weeks younger than Leo and it’s nice to hear that these toys have been well enjoyed by Leo!

    1. I want to buy this and my son is only 8 months… gosh I spoil him.

Jillian why do you do this to me, I can’t resist buying, everything is so darn cute!

  3. Our granddaughter it four and got a kitchen when was two. She always doing her pretend cooking and serving us plus giving us tea in her singing teapot with matching cups and sauces. Kids are so cute. Leo is a real sweetheart.
