For years, Smash + Tess has been a staple in my wardrobe. It was probably around the time I became a Momma to (then little) Leo that I realized, “I REALLY don’t want to have to wriggle into tight jeans every single day!” And when the Smash + Tess girls caught wind of the fact that their products had become my clothing uniform, our first collaboration was born!! Of course, we started off with Rompers. But, as time went on, I realized that I didn’t just want to have comfortable Rompers to turn to… I wanted ALL of my clothes to be that comfortable! **Cue the launch of our Essentials Classics Collection featuring everyday dresses, our Elevated Classics Collection, offering versatile workwear, and NOW our Seaside Collection perfect for travels abroad or trips to the local market just in time for Summer!!!!
With this collection, I REALLY wanted to create something that could pair well with a huge range of layering pieces and accessories, so you can get THE MOST out of these pieces with a quick swap of an earring or jacket! So, I am going to sprinkle in some recommendations for different ways to style them throughout the blog… but the biggest tip I can impart on styling this collection is that they are SO versatile, so the possibilities truly are endless!!
It was also SO important to me that these pieces could work for EVERYONE’S body type. All bodies are beautiful and we ALL deserve to feel our best!! So, without further ado, here’s a breakdown of each piece of the collection… Ooooooh, I’m excited!!
The Coastal Collared Dress (Jersey Material) – $135 | 3XS – 4X
Colours: Driftwood Grey/Midnight Black/Tidal Blue
How I Styled It: Add a straw clutch and nude-toned heals/white shoes and straw basket
This dress draws so much inspiration from Parisian culture. I especially think of the children’s Madeline where the kids would walk in two rows everywhere! Anyone else remember that book? Even if you may not be going abroad anytime soon, the Coastal Collared Dress will make you feel like you’re sipping rosé on a balcony overlooking the French Mediterranean.
Sticking with the theme of comfort, this dress like so many of our Smash + Tess pieces, is made from the softest jersey fabric. If you own some Smash + Tess items, you’ll know the one!! The dress features a sweet Peter Pan collar, romantic puffed sleeves, and a gathered skirt. It even has the most charming buttons up the front, which I’m obsessed with.
What’s great about this dress is that while there are SO many ways to style it, it’s also a stand-alone piece, meaning you can throw it on when you’re in a rush and still look put together! Now, I have to know… which colour do you love most??

How I Styled It: Add a straw basket and pink heals
This adorable dress has all of the same design features as the previous Coastal Collared Dress… except it’s made from a nice woven crepe fabric. And it comes in this BEAUTIFUL floral print. I can’t wait to wear this around Paris during our upcoming trip. I can totally see myself wearing this to brunch or out for a coffee.
The Boardwalk Shorty Romper (Jersey Material) – $110 | 3XS – 4X
Colours: Salt Water Blue/Midnight Black
How I Styled It: Add a wide-brimmed hat and platform sandals/white collared shirt, Birkenstocks and a brightly-coloured clutch
This Romper is the ultimate going-out Romper—seriously, you could wear it out for drinks on a patio and it would absolutely be appropriate for the occasion!! It’s a really flattering A-line and it has the most charming ruffles on the edges of the shorts. It’s also made from that super comfy jersey material we all love from Smash + Tess.
If you LOVE the Coastal Collared Dress, but you don’t necessarily want to wear a dress, this Romper is a great option! It works for a casual day in the garden, lakeside or even out to dinner!!

Yes, that’s right! We had to offer this charming Summer Romper in our favourite Beautiful Bloom print too!!! This Romper has all of the same design features as the previous Boardwalk Shorty Romper, except it’s made from a nice woven crepe fabric.
