Food Friday: Super Green Smoothie


We say we love our greens but DO we really? What about those weeks when we are just craving carbs, cheese & coffee? I whipped up this bad boy this morning and believe it or not IT IS SO GOOD and JAMMED PACKED full of all kinds of surprising greens (some of them might scare you but trust me, this smoothie goes down smooth!). We all know the super healing anti oxidant powers of greens, not to mention the good fats for your skin and bones in avocado and the omegas in the chia seeds – this smoothie might just be more powerful than my Wild Blueberry Complexion Smoothie!!

Ingredients & Directions

1/2 avocado

1 small handful of kale

1/4 cup of frozen spinach

1 small handful of cilantro

1 frozen banana

1 capful of extreme greens (green plus by genuine health)

1 small lime – peeled

1 cup of coconut water

3 tablespoons of chia seeds

BLEND IT. DRINK IT.
