Happy Wednesday everyone!! I hope your day is off to a wonderful start. I am so excited to welcome today’s blog contributor, Holly Horvath from Teach Me Style (opens in a new tab). Holly and I have become really great (Insta!) friends over the years. Yes, we have become friends over Instagram and have yet to meet in person! LOL! Who else loves making friends on social media!? Holly is a Jill (pun intended!) of all trades, she is not only a fashion icon but she also just so happens to be a first-grade teacher. I’ll let her chat with you more about that below!
Without further adieu, I’ll let Holly take it from here and share her 5 favourite ways to style a cute spring jacket!

Hey guys!! I’m new around here so let me do a brief intro before we jump into the real reason you clicked on this link, details on this jacket, and the pieces I styled with it.
My name is Holly Horvath, I’m the creative behind Teach Me Style (opens in a new tab) a fashion and lifestyle blog which takes up a tiny spot on the internet where you will find everything to do with fashion, travel, beauty products, food, and really anything that makes me smile! I originally started TMS (opens in a new tab) as an outlet from teaching. I love my career as a first-grade teacher but felt I needed something to feed my creative side. Last September I decided to take a year leave to work on my blog full time and do some travelling. Well, with Covid-19 hitting in March the only travelling I’ve been doing is to my kitchen … LO! Anyway, in the grand scheme of things, it’s a little deal!
COVID has changed a lot more than people’s travel plans. The words social distance, quarantine, and corona (no, not the beer you sip in Mexico) have become a part of our daily vocabulary. Masks, gloves, and tie-dye sweatsuits will be the hottest trends to come out of 2020, and our economy has taken a devastating hit leaving thousands of people jobless and small businesses struggling to stay afloat.
This shift in the economy has me, and many others I’m sure, shopping differently. Instead of purchasing trendy pieces that likely won’t last more than a season or two, this Spring I chose pieces that will not only stand the test of time, but will also be versatile. I also tried to support as many Canadian small shops as possible. This Gentle Fawn jacket checked all the boxes: Canadian, check! Classic style, check! Versatile, CHECK!
Sorry, I got carried away chatting … here’s what you actually came for! How to Style a Spring Jacket 5 Ways! I’ve put together a quick video for you and I’ve linked all of the products below!
