Our wedding day was pure magic, and this part of the evening was one of my absolute favourites. After the farm ceremony, while all of our lovely guests enjoyed cocktail hour, the bridal party & family quickly went off to take some photos! The farm really is our favourite place in the world and it felt so special to celebrate surrounded by so much love.
Wedding Portraits
The golden hour light at the farm made everything feel straight out of a dream. Justin looked incredible in his tux, Leo and Annie were so adorable (and so grown up!), and our parents were just glowing. My bridesmaids looked so beautiful and the groomsmen were so handsome. These photos are a keepsake we’ll treasure forever.
Of course, in true Jilly fashion… I couldn’t resist icing all of the groomsmen by hiding Smirnoff Ice bottles under my dress and surprising them during portraits. Their reactions were hilarious and these candid shots are some of my favourites!!
Cocktail Hour
Our cocktail hour was beautiful, heartfelt, and filled with little personal touches! The dress code was “formal garden party” and our guests seriously nailed it! Seeing our friends & family from all stages of our lives together hugging, chatting and laughing was so incredibly special.
The decor and florals were absolutely perfect! From the scalloped umbrellas to the cute little seating areas, every detail was so beautiful. Even the rows of flowers (which a few years ago were the bane of my existence LOL) were gorgeous.
Some of my favourite details were:
- How we included our pets in the big day: Okay, these details were some of my faves. Nacho’s ashes were placed in a beautiful box under the willow tree and we had a signature spicy marg named after him on the drink menu. Peaches and Churro made an appearance on custom napkins. And we even had Pearl’s Oyster Bar set up for the cocktail hour.
- The bathtub bar: We filled an antique bathtub with cold non-alcoholic options like Hey Y’alls and Oles so everyone could enjoy a fun drink.
- The bubble truck: My cousin Terry and his wife Brea kept the champagne flowing with their ADORABLE bubble truck. This was the perfect addition to our cocktail hour.
- All the love: It is hard to describe, but the energy during cocktail hour was just magic. Our favourite people, dressed to the nines, laughing and connecting at the farm. It was exactly what we dreamed of!

It’s wild how a place can hold so much meaning. The farm was not just the backdrop for our special day, but it’s such a huge part of our story as a family. We’re so grateful and our hearts are so full!!!
