1. Foundation with SPF

My favourite foundation to bring along with me on tropical vacations is Supergoop! Daily Correct CC Cream, I love it because it’s lightweight, it leaves you with a flawless complexion AND it has SPF 35!!

2. Cream Blush

I find that cream blushes leave my skin looking fresh and dewy and they are SO easy to apply on the go … basically, it’s lipstick for your cheeks, lol!! Toss it in your beach bag and apply as you go! My fave is the Cream Blush in Hibiscus from Beauty Counter!

3. Hydrating Face Mist

It’s soooo refreshing to give your face a little hydrating spritz while you’re out in the sun … I’m a face mist FANATIC and it’s always something I have with me anywhere I travel, tropical destination or not!!

4. Lip Crayon

I always get questions about what lipstick I’m wearing and 99% of the time it’s from Glo Minerals!! I’m in loooove with their Creme Glaze Crayons, they don’t dry out my lips and the colour lasts a long time!! Perfect for those tropical days in the sun!

5. Scrunchies

My scrunchies go EVERYWHERE with me!! They are a staple in my life, even when I’m not on vacation!! my favourite scrunchies are from Chelsea King … if you haven’t jumped back on the scrunchie bandwagon, there’s no better time than NOW!! Trust me, you won’t regret it …

6. Multiple Bathing Suits

You can NEVER bring too many bathing suits with you! When I’m on vacation I LIVE in my bathing suit so I love to have a variety of options with me. And guess what?! One pieces are back with a vengeance and I’m not upset about it! I find them wayyy more comfortable especially if chasing little Leo around, and they’re so much more flattering! Last night I laid in bed linking all my favourites because so many of you have been asking me for my faves, I also added some bikini’s in for good measure but you can check out all my currents picks over on my shop page, here!!

 7. Matching clutches

Before our trip to Mexico, I bought the girls and I matching heart clutches by Nina Catrina (I actually bought these in Mexico when I was there for my cousin Terry’s wedding!) and they were the perfect staple to our outfits and made the best props for our photos! You could also do matching sun hats with your names or cute sayings stitched in them, matching one-piece bathing suits, water bottles, or clutches, like us!!

  1. I always take a great beach bag, wide brimmed beach hat, beach wave hair product, long cardigan for evening dinners and my own medical/first aid kit.

  2. Thanks for sharing! Heading to Cabo for March Break…. so happy you shared the bathing suits !! I need to get some one pieces! 🙂

  3. Jillian! I was soooo in love with the black print suit from Anthropology! I went to order it but it was out of stock in the print. It was available in black for…..drum roll please $11.90. I. Kid. You. Not! It is on its way to me. ????.

  4. Hi!! Did you wear the CC cream as your only facial sunscreen? I just bought it and am headed to Cabo next week…thank you!! Becky

  5. Those are really great suggestions – didn’t think of the face mist, but will definitely have to be adding that to my list next time! Also love taking the perfect cross body bag that’s big enough to hold all the essentials and easy enough to carry everywhere!

    1. Where can you get glo minerals in Vancouver, BC? I’ve tried looking and it mainly seems to be limited items at a few dermatologists. Your link redirected through to Walmart Canada which says they have no such item. Thanks!!

  6. Can you please share what your favourite color is in the glo minerals lip crayon? It is always so hard to tell by the swatches on the computer. Thanks a bunch

  7. Hi Jill,

I have been searching EVERYWHERE for that heart straw clutch – please let me know where it is from – leaving to Bali in two weeks!

    Thank- you!!

  8. I am just looking at this post, seeing that it is from 2018 I am just wondering if you still use the Supergoop Sunscreen. I am traveling this February to Mexico and want to pack as little as possible so this product is of interest to me.

    Regards,

    Sonya
