Where do we even begin?! Our rehearsal dinner felt like something straight out of a dream… an Italian dream to be exact! Our backyard was completely transformed into our ideal rehearsal dinner venue. From the moment guests arrived, surrounded by the smell of pizza & pasta, Aperol Spritzes in hand, and the sound of laughter… we knew this was going to be the perfect way to kick off our wedding celebrations.
The Details
Every single detail was beyond anything we could have imagined. The twinkling lights, gorgeous florals, endless burrata, foccacia and glasses of Lambrusco were just a few details that made this a magical evening. Complete with pizza, pasta, gelato, and even Justin’s grandpa’s grappa! We even had a “make your own cannoli” station! All the ingredients were so fresh and delicious… just thinking about it is making me hungry!
The long, family-style table made us feel like we had been transported to Italy. With the fresh potted herbs on the tables and each place setting styled with pops of colour. If you know me, you know I LOVE spaghetti. So, of course, we sent all of our guests home with jars of Rao’s tomato sauce.
Making it Special for the Kids
And of course, it wouldn’t be complete without making sure the kids had just as much fun as the adults! They had a blast swimming, bouncing away on the bouncy castle and eating gelato. They even had their own adorable kids table, which was a mini-version of the adult table… SO cute!
This night was everything we had hoped it would be. It felt like the perfect kick-off to the celebrations to come (stay tuned for the FULL farm wedding recap), and is a memory we will cherish forever. ♥️
We are so grateful to our families and friends for making the evening so special, and to the incredible team of vendors who helped bring this Italian dream to life. From the food to the décor to the music, everything was PERFECT.
